Position Summary:
The Optical Supervisor is a key leadership position within our optical department, reporting to the Optical Manager. This role focuses on driving sales growth, maintaining store aesthetics, and supervising daily staff activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach in merchandising, inventory management, and exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive and efficient experience for both customers and staff.

This role focuses on driving sales growth, maintaining store aesthetics, and supervising daily staff activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach in merchandising, inventory management, and exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive and efficient experience for both customers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership: Drive sales within the location through effective customer engagement and proactive sales strategies. Monitor sales performance and implement initiatives to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Merchandising and Aesthetics: Maintain the visual appeal of the store through effective merchandising and ensuring a clean, welcoming environment. Oversee the aesthetic aspects of the store to enhance customer experience.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and coordinate staff during shifts, providing guidance and leadership to ensure smooth operations and effective teamwork. Foster a supportive and productive work environment.
- Customer Service and Patient Care: Deliver high-level customer service and patient care, ensuring that all customers receive knowledgeable assistance and guidance with their eyewear needs.
- Inventory Management: Responsible for ordering frames and maintaining appropriate inventory levels to meet customer demands and sales objectives. Ensure accurate stock control and inventory records.
- Administrative Duties: Perform additional administrative responsibilities, including A/R report, and other operational paperwork.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Optician or Apprentice Optician preferred or minimum of three years of management or supervisory experience required.
- Proven experience in retail sales, particularly in optical or related fields.
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a strong focus on providing patient education and support.
- Ability to manage inventory, including ordering and stocking merchandise.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
