RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist clients in selecting eyeglass frames, lenses, and contact lenses based on their visual needs, prescription, and style preferences.
- Take precise measurements and fitting parameters to ensure the accurate fabrication and fitting of eyewear.
- Educate clients on lens, options, coatings, and other enhancements to maximize visual comfort and performance.
- Adjust and repair eyeglasses as needed to ensure proper fit and function.
- Verify and interpret optical prescriptions and assist with frame and lens recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized, dispensing area, including inventory management, and frame displays.
- Provide exceptional customer service, and follow up care to ensure client satisfaction.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience as an optician, preferably in a retail or clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of optics, lens, materials, and frame styles to make informed recommendations to clients.
- Proficiency and taking accurate measurements and fitting eyewear for optimal comfort and visual performance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on delivering a positive client experience.
- Detail oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment.
- Familiarity with optical equipment and tools and lens optometry.
- A passion for staying current with eyewear trends, industry development, and new technologies.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, additional certification or training in opticianry is a plus.
