About Our Practice We are an ophthalmology-owned private practice serving communities in Albany, Schenectady, and Saratoga Springs in Upstate New York. Our team uses only the best and the most state-of-the-art equipment to ensure that our patients have the best eyecare experience possible. We currently have two ophthalmologists and one optometrist on staff, along with front desk administrators, ophthalmic technicians, a practice administrator, and optical staff. Optometrist Job Duties and Responsibilities We are searching for a talented OD to join our growing practice! You will use your clinical and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality vision care to our patients. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering quality patient care, and is eager to learn and develop long-lasting relationships in our community. We also are looking for someone who is comfortable with imaging and using images for patient diagnostics. Your regular duties will include: Performing comprehensive eye exams and contact lens fittings. Diagnosing and assisting in the treatment of ocular disease. Prescribing corrective lenses. Promoting healthy vision by counseling and educating patients. Maintaining detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress. We believe that to give great eyecare, you need the best tools. As such, we have heavily invested in our equipment and have medical instruments that no other practice in the area has. Thus, familiarity with our equipment is a plus.
