This position is responsible for supporting and assisting the Operating Room staff with inventory control and par lists for the entire Operating Room.
Responsibilities:Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Completes inventory of case cart room/area, in-room cupboards, anesthesia carts and supplies (anesthesia carts as needed)
- Maintains par lists on handheld (if handheld is utilized)
- Rotates stock to be sure oldest items are used first
- Completes non-stock item orders
- Replaces all stock in rooms and case cart room/area when supplies are delivered
- Obtains special request supplies as needed
- Returns overstock items to correct departments
- Daily supply check-in from dock
- Time and attendance back-up coverage
- Charges back up coverage, logs OR cases and completes charges
- Adheres to all the performance standards for the Operating Room staff relative to aseptic technique, sterile procedures, appropriate dress codes and behavior
- Responds to recalls and specific alerts for items ordered
- Assists the OR in monitoring the service area for compliance with federal, state, and local laws regulations and professional standards
- Provides training and orientation to staff and new personnel. Assists in OR process improvement efforts directed at improving efficiency, service and safety
- Individual has access to confidential information such as pricing and has a responsibility to keep this information confidential.
- Takes an active role in enforcing salesman policy within the operating room.

Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum two years of relevant experience required
Previous O.R. experience preferred
