Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Business Systems Analyst to join the team at Rochester Institute of Technology. This role focuses on supporting and optimizing their current Oracle eBusiness platforms for Accounts Payable and Payroll. As they transition from Oracle 12.1 to Workday, this position will ensure the smooth operation of our existing Oracle systems, allowing our internal employees to focus on learning and assisting with the Workday implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Oracle eBusiness Suite, specifically for Accounts Payable and Payroll modules.
Report Creation and Troubleshooting: Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain both recurring and ad-hoc reports. This is a critical function as the organization has recently lost its primary report resource.
Stakeholder Interaction: Communicate effectively with business stakeholders to understand their needs and provide solutions.
Problem Solving: Identify deficiencies in the current Oracle system, quantify their costs/pains, and optimize processes to address these issues.
Third-Party Integration: Ensure seamless integration with third-party timekeeping systems such as Kronos and other relevant systems.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience working with Oracle eBusiness Suite, particularly in Accounts Payable and Payroll.
Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in Oracle 12.1 eBusiness Suite.
o Strong report creation and troubleshooting skills.
o Experience with third-party timekeeping systems like Kronos.
o Experience with MS Access and Excel
o Comfortable with SQL / PL/SQL coding and review to uncover and resolve issues within the Oracle system.
Soft Skills:
o Excellent communication skills to interact with business stakeholders.
o Proactive problem solver with the ability to identify and address system deficiencies.
o Strong analytical skills to quantify costs/pains and optimize processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in a higher education environment.
· Familiarity with other third-party systems and their integration with Oracle.
MUST HAVES:
- 7 + years of Experience in Oracle eBusiness Suite Accounts Payable (AP) and Payroll modules (client using 12.1)
- 7+ years of experience developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining both recurring and ad-hoc reports. This is a critical function as the organization has recently lost its primary report resource.
