About the Job
Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking an Oracle Database Administrator to provide support to the FLETC Enterprise IT Support Services contract located at FLETC Headquarters in Glynco, GA.
Responsibilities:- Maintaining database files, reviewing audit logs, proactive problem solving
- Care and feeding of databases to ensure security, performance and availability
- Design, install, configure, backup, administer, manage, upgrade, troubleshoot, test, monitor, etc. all SQL Servers
- Knowledge of flat files, FoxPro, Microsoft Access and Excel
- Provide technical direction on new database solutions that will assist with optimization
- Provide database guidance and DBA support for app development
- Assistance with migration of legacy data into newly built databases
- General understanding of the cloud
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis or a related field
- Minimum of five years of hands-on design and implementation of databases in Oracle 12 or newer
- U.S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Desired:
- Experience with FLETC or another DHS agency
- SQL Certified DBA
- Oracle Certified DBA
- MCSA or better certification
- Active Secret clearance
