Position Summary:
Command Cyber Solutions (a government contractor) is seeking a qualified Oracle Database Administrator SME in support of client located at Hill AFB, Utah.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with the 75 ABW/SC systems administration personnel (organic and contracted) in sustainment of Oracle middleware technologies, including but not limited to Oracle web server; Weblogic Application Server Suite, including Forms and Reports; Identity and Access Management Suite;, Business Intelligence Suite; and Service Oriented Architecture Suite.
• Coordinate Oracle Data Base Administration tasks. Examples of these tasks include, but are not limited to, installing security patches; completing backups, completing system restoration and software installs and version upgrades; correction/recovery of corrupted files; certificate management; password management, applying STIGs, SRGs, and IAVMs, etc.
• Monitor, administer and ensure recoverability and adherence to Oracle technical infrastructure and application environments.
• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database systems to support critical missions.
• Optimize database performance using tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager, SQL Tuning Advisor, and AWR reports to ensure system availability and responsiveness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues using tools such as Oracle Support, My Oracle Support, and Service Requests in a timely and effective manner.
• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies using tools such as Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) and Oracle Data Guard to protect against data loss and minimize downtime.
• Manage database security, access control, and data integrity in compliance with DoD and Air Force security policies using tools such as Oracle Label Security, Oracle Database Vault, and Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall.
• Plan and implement database upgrades and patches in accordance with DoD and Air Force guidelines using tools such as Oracle Patch Set Updates, Critical Patch Updates, and Database Proactive Patch Program.
• Collaborate with developers and other IT professionals to ensure database availability and performance while maintaining a high security posture using tools such as Agile methodologies, DevOps, and ITIL processes.
• Create and maintain database documentation and procedures to support accreditation and compliance efforts using tools such as Microsoft Visio, SharePoint, and Atlassian Confluence.
• Provide on-call support as needed using tools such as PagerDuty and Remedy Service Management.
• Provide personnel who possess specific technical and functional expertise and knowledge of Oracle products, including but not limited to:
o Oracle Active Data Guard version 11g and higher.
o Oracle Advanced Security versions 11g and higher.
o Oracle Audit Vault and Database Vault Firewall version 12.x and higher.
o Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition + version 11.x and higher.
o Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher version 11g and higher.
o Oracle Compute Cloud Service.
o Oracle Database Backup Cloud Service.
o Oracle Database Cloud Service.
o Oracle Database Enterprise Edition version 11g and higher.
o Oracle Database Vault version 11g and higher.
o Oracle E-Business Suite ERP and verticals versions 12.x and higher.
o Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control version 12c and higher with Diagnostics, Tuning, Middleware Management, Database Lifecycle Management, Data Masking and Sub-setting Packs.
o Oracle EPPM version 16 and higher with Oracle WebCenter Content version 11g and higher.
o Oracle Forms and Reports version 12c and higher.
o Oracle Fusion Middleware version 10g and higher.
o Oracle Hyperion Planning EPM version 11 and higher.
o Oracle Identity and Access Management Suite version 12c and higher.
o Oracle Internet Directory (OID) version 11g and higher.
o Oracle Java Runtime Environment (JRE) and Java Development Kit (JDK) version 6 and higher.
o Oracle Java Cloud Service 18 and higher.
o Oracle partitioning versions 11g and higher.
o Oracle Primavera Portfolio Management (OPPM) version 16 and higher.
o Oracle Pro-C.
o Oracle Real Application Clusters version 11g and higher.
o Oracle Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) version 11g and higher.
o Oracle Storage Cloud Service.
o Oracle Data Integrator 11g and higher.
o Oracle KeyVault 11g and higher.
o Oracle backup using Cohesity.
Education, Certification & Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or IT related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Ten (10) or more years of experience.
• Active Secret Clearance.
Recommended Certifications:
• Oracle Database Administration 2019 Certified Professional.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
• Proficiency in Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security using tools such as Oracle Database, Oracle Grid Infrastructure, and Oracle Database Appliance.
• Proficiency in Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security using tools such as Oracle Database, Oracle Grid Infrastructure, and Oracle Database Appliance.
• Understanding of database security controls and mechanisms, including database encryption, role-based access controls, and auditing using tools such as Oracle Transparent Data Encryption, Oracle Database Vault, and Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall.
Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands
• Basic office work environment at government facility location
• Hours of operation are M-F between 0600-1800.
• Occasionally, project requirements may require temporary adjustment of work hours/days
• Duties are subject to change based on the needs of the customer
