Job Description:
The Technical Expert is a professional within a practice/tower who is proficient in at least one technical area of the practice/tower and is knowledgeable in all the practice/tower technologies. He/she is fully aware that the platforms and technical components support business processes not knowing necessarily how these are functionally connected.
The Technical Expert within Client understands the DCS Customer's technical requirements and ensures the solution meets them and then supports delivery teams in the deployment of the solution.
The Technical Expert works under the coordination of the Solution Manager/Solution Architect and teams up with other functional or technical roles. The Technical Expert is fully responsible for the completeness and feasibility of the solution in his/her technical area.
Responsibilities:
Participates in program solutions which could encompass only one service line services.
Provides technical counseling to the client within its technical domain.
Provides high-value added solution according to the DCS Customer requirements.
Validates with the solution architects the feasibility of the technology to support the proposed technical solution.
Manages/Operated the technical solution according to DCS standards in terms of processes and tools.
Leads and governs the design of technical solution using DCS standards, processes and tools.
Ensures that all technical risks are documented along with the mitigations.

Technical Expert sits within the EDW Solution team, led by a Solution Manager and must be aligned with:
DCS EDW Solution Manager / Solution Architect
DCS Functional expert/architect(s)
DCS Technical experts/architect(s)
DCS Program Management team
DCS Delivery units
DCS Customer (end user)
DCS Service Delivery Manager
Communication skills:
English business intermediate.
Good Interpersonal and Communication Skills.
Presentation skills.
Technical skills:
The Technical Expert is specialized in at least one of the following tower / practice: Managed Infrastructure Solutions – Linux, Storage, Backup System Administration; Applications Operations; Network & Communications; Cross Functional; Open systems environments; Oracle Exadata System Administration; etc.
Ability to understand the technical requirements and provide value-added solution(s).
Ability to operate end-to-end solutions based on solution modules / building blocks
Deep knowledge in the state of the art in the respective technical domain.
Good knowledge of DCS Portfolio within in the respective technical domain.
Experience in technical specifications according to employed technology.
Knowledge in various methodologies to estimate effort for the technical solution, and in Client' standards for estimation (estimation tools & methodology, estimation guidelines). Provides effort estimation to Solution Manager/Solution Architect /Technical Architect for consolidation.
Ability to implement risk management (assessment, mitigation, residual cost calculation) providing the results to the Solution Manager/Solution Architect/Technical Architect for consolidation, costing and decision making.
Ability to support the Solution Manager / Solution Architect in technical affairs (including cost impact) with respect to negotiations with the decision makers
Working Experience:
At least 4 years of experience in technical delivery within the Practice and or tower.
No previous experience in deal solutioning is required but non-leading participation in deal solutioning is recommended
