Summary – basic function of the role
The Oracle IT/Supply Chain Analyst Lead is responsible for developing a robust supply chain for new projects. The role works closely with the Manufacturing Operations, Logistics and Purchasing Teams. The position will be responsible for defining & delivering integrated Global Supply Chain business solutions using Oracle Advance Supply Chain Planning (ASCP) and Demantra Demand Management (DM) modules of Oracle E-business Suite applications.
Shift: Monday – Friday; 9:00 – 6:00 pm or 07:00 AM – 4:00 pm; flexibleand be available to work on weekends to provide global support when it’s required*
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Day to Day Support:
- As part of the role, the person is expected to interact with supply chain operations, identify business requirements, gaps, and improvement opportunities in the Supply Chain Planning process, and design solutions using Oracle ASCP, Demantra, extensions, and other related home grown systems.
- Performs analysis and evaluation of functional options, alternatives, and system capabilities.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications; creates required documentation, and works with IT teams to implement, test and train on required system configuration changes
- Utilizes production planning and MRP information from Oracle to develop off-line spreadsheet/database models that will be used to determine capital expenditure [machine, fixture] and headcount decision making, sourcing decisions, and schedule feasibility/optimization
- Recommends system functional improvement to meet user requirements.
- Ensures system and process user requirements are properly defined and met and tasks are accomplished within defined timeframes at the highest quality with attention given to detail and scalability
- Ensures the solution delivered actually adds value to the business and will help prepare all satisfaction, utilization, and ROI calculations of the solution
- Act as a key liaison between Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement, and IT staff both on a regional and global basis.
- Manages Supply Chain and Operation user’s adherence of standard processes, maintenance of quality and performance to service levels and schedule.
- Identify system issues and other unique issues, escalate and resolve as appropriate - be responsible for systems problem management activities for the supply chain team.
- Establish positive working relationships with other team members so that the team receives comprehensive information to build according to the requirementShould have in-depth functional understanding of ASCP and Demantra modules with basic technical knowledge about applications and database related to these applications. Skilled in Demand Planning, good understanding of Supply Chain Planning, and fair understanding of Oracle Value Chain Planning process flows and best practices is essential. Responsible for BR100 and MD50 documentation and collaboration with onsite and offshore development team along with testing of developed component for an application.
- Working knowledge of Oracle Web ADI is a plus to maintain master data related to planning and forecasting.

Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in the field of business administration, business management, computer science, accounting, MIS, Supply Chain or Manufacturing.
- Candidate must have 8 years of experience working in an ERP environment, preferable in Oracle ERP within one of or severalof the following modules: Manufacturing and Production, Supply Chain Management, Inventory, Forecast and Planning, WIP, Purchasing, Order Management.
- Strong business process understanding of Demand/Supply Planning and Sales & Operational Planning processes.
- To be successful the new hire requires keen analytical skills, integrated thinking, and a drive for results.
- Strong communication skills are essential as role will require heavy collaboration with business teams to problem-solve and solution-shape.Experience with at least 2 of the core Supply Chain processes, such as Procurement, Supply Planning, Master Data, Costing, Contract Manufacturing, Inventory and/or Order Management
- Must have actively participated on several Oracle implementation projects in either a functional or technical capacity. Experience maintaining supply chain systems, preferably in an implementation capacity (Full project lifecycle preferred).
- Ability to perform rudimentary SQL queries and be knowledgeable on Oracle data model/table structures.
- Ability to anticipate potential problems, determine and implement solutions
- Outstanding critical thinking skills. Ability to analyze business needs and translate into system requirements
- Must be extremely organized and capable of tracking, managing, and resolving many issues simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, customer service, communication, analysis and problem solving skills required.
- Expertise required in functional areas of Oracle R12 – ASCP, Demantra, Purchasing, Inventory, Bills of Material, Order Management modules.
- Experience integrating with external order entry, order capture, Point of Sales, and 3PL systems desired
- Proven ability to work with all members of a project team, including business, technical, and management
Physical Demands
Employee may have to lift documents/work materials up to 30 pounds in weight. Employee will have to be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations, including traveling by air/auto to remote sites. Employee will need to listen, understand, and speak with team members in person, telephonically, and electronically at all levels within a diverse workforce and with supported organizations. Employee is able to work in front of a personal computer and telephone for long periods of time.
Work Environment
Primary work environment is temperature-controlled office setting but may also be visiting different manufacturing facilities where following appropriate safety protocols at the location would be required. Employee will be exposed to low levels of noise in an office.
