JOB SUMMARY
You will be a key contributor to our fast-paced day-to-day operations - providing exceptional customer service by working with the Automation Group Order Management and Sales Team. This position is a focal point for our order processing including order entry, new customer set up, and price checking. You will be able to work as part of a dynamic, fast-paced, high performing customer support team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Swiftly enter customer orders, adhering to our approval requirements and workflow process.
- Build and maintain knowledge of order entry and order management processes
- Manage all orders coming in through AG's email inbox
- Add new customers to the system including contact information
- Update contact information for existing customers
- Provide excellent communication by assigning tasks for the next step in the process in NetSuite and effectively utilizing the memo fields.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process orders to meet company performance guidelines
- Work under general supervision and rely on experience and judgment to accomplish goals
- Attend ongoing training; retain the knowledge of processes and procedures
- Assist with special customer support projects as requested by management
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School/GED required and 3+ years of order entry/data entry experience (preferably in an industrial marketplace)
- Associate or Bachelors degree preferred and 1-2 years order entry experience.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
- Computer literate and highly productive in a multi-window environment - Google Business Apps and Microsoft Office
- Excellent keyboard skills - quick and accurate
- ERP literate, NetSuite preferred
- Excellent communication skills - especially phone and email communications
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Above average knowledge of customer service principles and practices

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Sit at a desk, with minimal breaks, for up to four hours at a time.
- Perform data entry for up to four hours at a time with minimal breaks
- Spend extended lengths of time viewing computer screens
- Possess a clear and articulate speaking voice
- Must be highly organized, with a well-developed ability to multi-task.
- Possess the ability to quickly learn and retain vendor-related information and company policies and procedures.
- Possess the ability to perform mathematical calculations and understand the mathematical concepts related to profit and margin.
