About the job
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to develop and implement production plans aligned with sales orders. You will be to optimize the utilization of our resources, ensure timely delivery, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.You will be responsiblefor optimizing the utilization of our resources, ensure timely delivery, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Currently, this is an on-site opportunity located in Richmond, VA.
As a part of the team, you will:
- Review and input sales forecasts, analyzing their impact on material and capacity requirements. Collaborate closely with Factory/Unit Manager, Team Manager, and Purchaser to drive necessary activities.
- Regularly assess inventory management parameters for direct material inventory to maintain high availability.
- Support the development and implementation of innovative production planning and inventory management methodologies.
- Research and create new item configurations, routings, and bill of materials in the MRP/ERP system to facilitate customer order entry.
- Interface with Global and Local R&D design teams to contribute to the development of new and modified product designs, updating product bill of materials as necessary.
- Provide backup support for Order Planner and Purchaser functions to ensure alignment with customer and production needs.
- Offer guidance to the procurement team to ensure effective inventory management and procurement activities in support of the production plan.
What you know:
You have Associates degree in Business, Engineering and/or Supply Chain with relevant experience and:
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing company environment.
- Proficiency in manufacturing MRP/ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX, and master data maintenance.
- Experience and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles.

We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job, background, skills, and experience to get it right. The base salary for this role is typically $55,000 - $65,000.
