Key Responsibilities:
- taking their medical history, explaining the treatment process, and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- assist the orthodontist during procedures by providing instruments, materials, and equipment required for the treatment. They should also ensure the patient's comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- taking dental X-rays and impressions of patients' teeth. They should be proficient in operating X-ray machines, following safety protocols, and ensuring accurate and clear images.
- should adhere to strict infection control protocols, sterilize instruments, clean treatment areas, and maintain a safe and hygienic working environment.
- should maintain patient records, update treatment progress notes, and document any necessary information related to the procedures performed.
- educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and caring for their orthodontic appliances. They should also provide instructions on the use of orthodontic appliances and answer any questions related to treatment.

Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR or X Ray certification
- Completion of a dental assistant program or equivalent training
- Experience working in an orthodontic or dental office
