What Next
We are currently reviewing resumes for a Fixed Wire Bender Appliance Technician. As a Fixed Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the lab in fulfilling work orders and prescriptions by bending wires onto patient models for fixed orthodontic appliances.
- Upon receipt of models and prescriptions, using DLCPM, review prescriptions and doctor preferences.
- Successfully read and interpret doctor preferences and written preference specifications onto models.
- Using pliers and appropriate hand tools, bend wires according to doctor preferences.
- Responsible for the successful installation of wires onto molds per doctor’s preferences and prescription details, also mounting molds when applicable.
- Upon successful completion of wire installation, forward to QC for final approval.
- Responsible for making required adjustments as needed for successful order completion.

This is a great entry-level position for someone who enjoys hands-on attention to detail work while using small hand tools.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to use various hand tools, such as lathes for buffing, grinding, and polishing.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions taken from job orders.
- Strong attention to detail.
Work Schedule
- This is a full-time position. Hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
