Outside Plant (OSP) Engineer - HiCAP/FTTP

Location: Bay Shore, NY
Work Schedule: Hybrid (Minimum 2 days in office)
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (flexible start at 7:30 AM)

Telecommunication is seeking an experienced Outside Plant (OSP) Engineer to join our team on Long Island. As an OSP Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing telecommunications infrastructure, specializing in both copper and fiber deployments including Telecommunication and HiCAP solutions.

OSP Engineer Core Responsibilities

• Design and engineer routine and specific outside plant work orders for both distribution and feeder systems
• Conduct detailed site surveys for copper, fiber, and pole infrastructure projects
• Create and issue engineering prints in ICGS for construction team implementation
• Manage multiple wire centers across the Long Island territory
• Develop comprehensive subsurface and aerial designs for telecommunications infrastructure
• Serve as Telecommunication's representative in customer interactions
• Provide administrative and field support to outside plant work forces

Required Qualifications

• 5-7 years of telecommunications experience
• Minimum 3 years' experience with Telecommunication Outside Plant terminology, equipment, and facilities
• Minimum 1 year experience in Telecommunication/HiCAP design and building integration
• Proficiency in ICGS print creation and implementation
• Strong expertise in conducting site surveys for copper/fiber/pole jobs
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of OSP aerial and underground plant

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Telecommunication OSP Engineer
• Proficiency with FIM, iVAPP, vBuild, NTAS, CCP, and WFM systems
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• Experience with Telecommunication/HiCAP job design in ICGS

Additional Information

• Occasional after-hours work may be required for contingency issues
• Field work required as needed
• Office/field schedule will be determined by business needs
• Must be local to Bay Shore, NY area
