Job Description Summary:
The OT System Engineer is responsible for configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting servers for renewable energy plants monitor and control (SCADA) systems.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:
- Server Design and Commissioning
- Design and configure hardware and software in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
- Design server standards based on industry best practice and regulatory guidelines.
- Design and implement Windows Hyper-V Failover Cluster and VMware vSphere failover clusters tailored for industrial settings.
- Utilize and improve upon existing automation to streamline the process of deploying servers and software.
- Research and implement security and reliability best practices.
- Travel as needed to support project execution.
- Maintenance
- Perform regular patching, updates, and security audits to maintain server integrity and regulatory guidelines (NERC).
- Monitor server performance and proactively address potential issues (SolarWinds, Splunk)
- Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Team collaboration
- Work closely with Project Managers, Design, and Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of server solutions.
- Assist in the commissioning of servers and provide expert advice during the design phase.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align server infrastructure goals with organizational objectives.
- Identify appropriate escalation paths for problems when troubleshooting issues.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of server configurations, procedures, and changes.
- Prepare reports on server performance, incidents, and maintenance activities
- Log, track, and resolve ongoing support requests via our ticket and work order management system.
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
- Education/Work Experience
- Associates or Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology - Preferred but not required.
- Minimum 5 years of verifiable work experience in the Information Technology field as a systems administrator.
- Technical Expertise
- Proven experience in setting up and managing Windows Hyper-V Failover Cluster, VMware vSphere clusters.
- Virtualization support technologies such as MPIO, iSCSI, NIC Teaming.
- Windows Fleet Management support such as Active Directory, LDAP, Group Policy.
- Strong understanding of server hardware, SAN/vSAN, RAID Arrays.
- Hands on experience with enterprise grade hardware: Dell PowerEdge Servers, Enterprise Level UPS.
- Familiarity with industrial network protocols and network equipment is preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with Azure HCI Stack - Hyperconverged infrastructure, cloud providers such as Azure, AWS is preferred, but not required.

$98,269.60 - $147,347.20
