Public Notice of 2024 Waiting List Opening and Closing

The North Charleston Housing Authority (NCHA) will

officially open the following waitlist online at www.northcharlestonhousingauthority.org on Monday,

November 4, 2024, at 9:00 a.m.

The NCHA will accept applications until the limit is met:

•Buskirk (all applicants must be 62 years of age and older): 1-bedroom Project Based Voucher Program (PBV) units (limit 200)

The NCHA Wait List(s) that will remain open until the limit is met:

•Liberty Hill: 4-bedroom PBV units (limit 700)

The NCHA will officially close the following waitlist on Monday, November 4,2024, at 9:00 a.m.

•Alston Lake: 2 and 3-bedroom PBV units

    2 and 3-bedroom Low Income Housing Tax         Credit (LIHTC) units

•Birchwood: 2 and 3-bedroom PBV units

    2 and 3-bedroom LIHTC units

•Liberty Hill: 1 and 3-bedroom PBV units

If you are a person(s) with disabilities that limits your ability to access the online pre-application process, please call (843) 266-5919, on Monday's only starting on November 4, 2024, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to request a reasonable

accommodation. Recorded information in English is

available at 843-747-1793 (Press “1”).

Person(s) interested must complete the on-line application at www.northcharlestonhousingauthority.org. After you have successfully applied, you will receive an email receipt if you have provided a valid email address.

Placement on the waiting list does not indicate that the family is, in fact, eligible for assistance. A final determination of

eligibility will be made when the family is selected from the waiting list.
