Opened in the fall of 2009, this medical center is the area's newest hospital in more than 40 years! Environmentally friendly and built with the patient in mind. The hospital rooms are 95% private with pullout beds for loved ones, and nurses' stations are close to the patients. The hospital has a full-service Emergency Department, Critical Care, high-risk obstetrical services, and a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.Unit Details:This Urology unit has 2 RN's, 9 LVN's, 1 technician and 7 Ward Clerks. Our shift times are 830a - 530p and our age group of patients is adults. Should census require, you may float to the Head and Neck clinic a few times a month. Medications administered on the unit: Bacille Calmette Guerin (BCG), Heparin cocktail, Leuprolide injections. Special procedures done on the unit: Cystoscopies, prostate biopsies, urodynamics, vasectomies, voiding trials, bladder instillations, foley and suprapubic catheter exchanges, Clean Intermittent Catheterization & BCG teachings, percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation. Equipment used on the unit: Cystoscopes, Bladder Scanners, Laborie Urodynamic, Ultrasound probes, x-ray room
