POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for oversight, guidance, and direction of the outpatient program in coordination with the Executive Director of Clinical Services.  Responsibilities encompass program development, staff management, clinical quality and compliance with regulatory standards.  

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Engage with new patients and their families building therapeutic relationship during admission process.
• Conduct Diagnostic Assessment to evaluate patient mental health and substance abuse concerns including assessing for risk, developing safety plan and making recommendations for services.
• Complete initial and ongoing treatment plans that are individualized, ensuring goals are objective and strength based, measurable and consistent with the assessed needs of the patient.  
• Document assessments and communicate needs to the attending provider and team members through verbal and written methods. 
• Ensure that the most effective treatment approaches are utilized; developing evidence based treatment modalities delivered in a trauma informed recovery environment. 
• Provide group therapy/individual therapy/activities that are appropriate to age, development, needs and interests of the patients served.
• Provide individual and family therapy as indicated by treatment plan and treatment team.
• Provide services as a member of the multidisciplinary team and as directed by the attending provider, outpatient director and patient’s treatment plan.
• Formulate discharge plan in coordination with the treatment team, patient, family and other agencies as appropriate.
• In coordination with the Director of Outpatient services, develop and oversee the outpatient program ensuring that services align with the mission and meet the needs of the community.  

Education: Masters’ degree in behavioral health field.

Experience: Two (2) years’ experience working in behavioral health field, preference for experience with IOP/PHP levels of care. One (1) year clinical supervisory experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment preferred. 

Certification/License:  Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); full clinical licensure preferred.  Licensure, as determined by the state, required to complete the essential job functions of the position.  CPR/CPI Certified per policy.
