Akron Childrens Hospital is dedicated to building a diverse workforce - one that reflects our patient population and represents the communities we serve. Whether youre a resident, a physician early in your career, or a seasoned physician with years of experience, Akron Childrens Hospital has something different thats hard to explain. You feel it in the atmosphere as soon as you enter through the doors. You experience it every day with your colleagues, staff, patients and their families. Once youre here, you know youre home.
Akron Children's Pediatrics (ACP) brings pediatric primary care for babies, children, and teens to many Ohio communities through our 40+ pediatric offices and growing. Join our established Alliance practice of 3 experienced pediatricians and 4 nurse practitioners as the practice continues to grow. The Alliance office is a well-respected practice that has been in the community for more than 50 years. It is the only pediatric office in Alliance and offers a large established patient volume drawing from many surrounding areas.
This is an outpatient opportunity with after-hours call and half day Saturday office hours shared between all providers. Calls only reach the physician after being screened by our excellent after-hours nurse triage phone line which handles more than 90% of the calls. This is a busy existing practice, so we welcome new graduates or established providers to step into a practice that they can continue to develop and grow.
Our offices follow standard hospital-based policies, while retaining the local culture of each practice. Our physicians enjoy the use of EPIC as a system-wide integrated electronic health record. Our primary care offices are all PCMH certified. The Patient-Centered Medical Home is a model of care that puts patients at the forefront of care. PCMHs build better relationships between people and their clinical care teams. Research shows that they improve quality, the patient experience, and staff satisfaction, while reducing health care costs.
