Responsibilities:
Functions as a pharmacy technician as defined by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy.Assists pharmacists in preparing and distributing sterile and non-sterile medications, maintaining accurate drug product records, and assessing medication inventory.Answers telephone calls, assists patients, and maintains confidentiality.All duties are performed under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. Performs assignments and projects directed by the Trinity Pharmacy Manager.
Qualifications:Education:
High school graduate or equivalent
Must be able to proficiently read, write and speak English.
Experience:
At least one year in a community pharmacy setting preferred.
License(s)/Certification(s):
Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
Registration as a pharmacy technician with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of employment.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) must be obtained by examination within 12 months of hire.
