As an Outpatient Clinical Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to provide clinical supervision and training to staff who directly impact the lives of children and their families through our successful mental health programs. You will lead a caring and highly regarded staff of outpatient clinical therapists in our Richfield location.
We are looking for a motivated professional to manage the outpatient clinical treatment program by providing leadership, staff supervision, clinical supervision, and strategic facilitation with external entities. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that staff are achieving their productivity goals, conducting formal and ongoing informal performance reviews of Outpatient Therapists and create developmental plans when necessary, ensuring accurate and complete documentation is done from intake to closing, ensuring compliance with outside funding and accrediting agencies, overseeing Rule 29 and Rule 47 requirements, and engaging all outpatient staff in a Center of Excellence Model.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
1. Provide day to day management of Outpatient and Co-Located Outpatient Services for outstanding client care, following upon client concerns
- Monitor and develop plans to increase service area customer satisfaction and quality
- Monitor service area productivity to ensure productivity targets are achieved
- Assist the Manager, Clinical Services in managing fiscal operations to ensure financial viability of all Clinical Outpatient programs
- Maintain and enforce policies and procedures
- Be aware of and adhere to compliance requirements for DHS, contracts and payers
- Assist Intake to coordinate and assign new clients
2. Lead, mentor, supervise and develop outpatient staff
- Utilize Headway's process to hire and orient outpatient staff
- Work with Manager, Staff Development to identity staff strengths and areas for development
- Develop individual development plans to increase staff effectiveness and efficiency in current position.
- Monitor all aspects of staff performance to ensure excellent customer service, paperwork compliance and productivity as well as professional growth and development. Ensure that staff are working within their level of competency.
- Provide direction/coaching/,mentoring/in the moment consultation/conflict resolution to staff
- Promote cooperation, collaboration and integration with other Headway services
3. In conjunction with the Manager, Clinical Services
- Propose, design and implement new outpatient programs and partnerships
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with partner agencies
- With partner and Manager, Clinical Services-Develop partnership criteria and goals
- Monitor partnership success/address concerns
4. Evaluate and improve outpatient services
- With the Manager, Clinical Services, develop plans to measure and evaluate client outcomes
- Develop plans to improve outcomes for clients
- Follow and enforce all agency policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
GOALS AND OUTCOMES
- Ensure that supervised staff are achieving their productivity goals
- Ensure that accurate and complete documentation is done, from intake to closing
- Perform formal and ongoing informal reviews of Outpatient Therapists
- Develop individual development plans with staff to ensure staff are increasing skills clinically and administratively
- Work with Manager to implement Rule 29 and 47 requirements and assure that all staff are compliant
- Engage with outpatient staff to ensure focus, attention, and advancement of program outcomes for clients
- Being available to provide both structured and in the moment consultation to staff.
- Hire, orient and supervise clinic staff
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 2+ years experience in clinical outpatient services
- Licensed as a mental health professional (LP, LPCC, LMFT, LICSW)
Preferred but not required
- 2+ years program supervision and management experience
- 1+ years experience developing community partnerships
- 1+ years program development experience
- 1+ years Department of Human Service compliance experience
- Proven ability to increase client outcomes
- Board-approved to provide clinical supervision
- Must have their own car for work
