Outpatient Therapist (Jardin de los Niños)
Families and Youth Innovation Plus is hiring a full-time Outpatient Therapist to serve at their partnering agency, Jardin de los Niños.
The Therapist/Clinician conducts diagnostic mental health assessments and formulates appropriate treatment plans for children, adolescents, maternal and infant mental health and their families based on the family needs and strengths by collaborating with physicians, treatment team members and service providers as necessary to implement patient interventions and achieve treatment goals. This position requires the flexibility to work at two different clinic locations within the community - Las Cruces and Hatch.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic assessments and formulate appropriate treatment plans
- Implement patient interventions based on assessment, patient input and in conjunction with the treatment plan team
- Prepare, organize, and engage in individual and group psychotherapy interventions according to established patient goals and treatment plan
- Monitor all patient and family progress in treatment and outcomes as a result of interventions
- Provide Social Emotional Learning interventions and consultation in the classrooms of Jardin de los Niños as needed
- Provide education and information in the community as needed
- Provide outreach and referral assistance to clients unable to access services in the community
- Collaborate with primary physician, team members and other staff and service providers regarding client care
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings in the school setting to facilitate treatment that is sensitive to the varying needs of each client.
- Maintain written clinical records and statistical records on individual and group services and prepare written reports
- Prepare comprehensive treatment summaries assessing progress in treatment and barriers to discharge
- Provide 10-15% of interventions in nontraditional settings and during non-traditional hours. (home, community, school, field office, telehealth) (after 5:00pm M-F and Saturday)
- Performs other duties as directed by the Clinical Manager and CEO
Qualifications and Experience
- License in the State of New Mexico (LISW, LMSW, LPCC, LMHC or LMFT)
- Master's level behavioral health intern, psychology intern, pre-licensure; psychology postdoctoral student; provisional or temporary licensure
- Must pass a criminal background check; maintain a current driver's license
- Participate in professional development to obtain needed continuing education credits and professional growth
- Written and Oral fluency in English and Spanish highly preferred
