Position Summary
Working closely with the Director of the School, the Outreach Manager will provide leadership and management of department operating processes, activities, and events to carry out the strategic direction of the School as set by the director, faculty, and relevant stakeholders. Major areas of responsibility are outreach, communication, events, and operations.
In this role, you will liaison with the Offices of External Relations, Strategic Communications, and the Dean to implement outreach strategies for the School of Accounting that support the goals of the School and the College, building long-term, meaningful relationships with donors, alumni, faculty, staff, and students.
The successful candidate will be motivated, creative, hardworking, and have a successful track record of bringing together others to advance common goals.
This position may include minimal evening and weekend work.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree; AND
• Three years’ progressively responsible experience, including demonstrated skill and experience in leadership and management related to financial stewardship, outreach, customer service, and event management.
OR
• A combination of education and experience (as described above) totaling seven years.
Professional Competencies
• Outstanding entrepreneurial, administrative, and project management skills.
• Expertise in oral and written communication.
• Ability to work in a collaborative and professional manner with faculty, administrators, students, alumni, and the business community.
• Proficiency in using current applicable technology (MS Office, presentation software, etc.).
• Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Understanding of the accounting profession.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a closely related field.
• Master's degree.
