San Antonio, TX
About the Job
Outreach/Ambassador Coordinator
The Air Force Wounded Warrior (AFW2) Program works with the Air Force Survivor Assistance Program, Airman & Family Readiness Centers, and the Air Force Medical Service to provide concentrated non-medical care and support for combat wounded, ill and injured Airmen (and their families) as they recover and transition back to duty or into civilian life.
Outreach/Ambassador Coordinator
The AFW2 Outreach Program serves as a marketing tool to arm and equip Air Force personnel by educating Airmen on the resources needed to help themselves or their fellow Airmen be successful as they adjust to their new "normal." The most effective way to spread awareness of the AFW2 program resources is by word of mouth. This is accomplished through speaking engagements presented across the Air Force and Space Force, facilitated by AFW2 staff briefers, and accompanied by our Wounded Warrior Ambassadors. By sharing their stories, AFW2 Ambassadors bring the "reality to resiliency" and enhance the overall AFW2 Program awareness through their personal experiences.
