Outreach Coord, El Paso Health - University Medical Center of El Paso

Job Summary
Responsible for conveying the purposes and services of El Paso Health’s (EPH) various lines of business to members and potential members. Serves as a liaison for health plan members who need assistance obtaining covered services, accessing local community resources, and understanding internal health plan processes. Assists the C.A.R.E. Solutions Manager with the assessment, planning, development, implementation, coordination, marketing and evaluation of the outreach educational programs, events, and services in an effort to improve the health of members under the various product lines.

6. Ability to seek out new methods and principles to improve service.
7. Strong Customer Service skills and orientation.
8. Bilingual English/Spanish (written and verbal) highly preferred.

Work Experience
Two years of experience in Medicaid, CHIP, and Third Party Administration (TPA), health promotion, outreach program coordination, social services and marketing including program evaluation.

License/Registration/Certification
Community Health Worker Certification required within one and a half years of being in the position.
Certification in Health Education preferred.
Current valid State driver’s license required.

Education and Training
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor degree in Business, Health Science, Marketing or related field preferred.
