We’re on a mission to change the way families access healthcare and public benefits, and we do it in a place you’d least expect - laundromats!

About the Role:
As an Outreach Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of Fabric’s expansion, engaging with communities in DC and Maryland. Spend your days building connections, understanding a family’s needs, and guiding them through essential applications. This is not just a job; it’s a chance to redefine how healthcare support is delivered!

What You’ll be Getting Into:

• Building relationships with families in laundromats
• Understanding the unique needs of these families and registering them with Fabric Health
• Through our questionnaire, helping families apply for public benefits such as Medicaid, SNAP and LIHEAP that they are eligible for

Qualifications:

• In-person laundromat engagement: Willingness to work inside laundromats, creating meaningful connections (don’t worry - you don’t have to do laundry!)
• Reliable transportation: Navigate different locations in DC, Prince George’s County, and Montgomery County
• Tech savvy: Comfort with using a tablet / computer

Nice to Haves:

• Fluency in Spanish
• Certified Community Health Worker Designation

AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, and other national service alumni are encouraged to apply

Salary and Benefits:
$23/hr.
