SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
The Outside Sales Manager’s primary responsibility is to lead, assist, coach, and manage the Outside
Territory Managers to maximize brand exposure, customer satisfaction, productivity goals, and
drive sales results in assigned region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead, develop, and motivate a team of Outside Territory Managers.
• Regularly travel with OTMs within assigned region, providing hands-on support and
guidance.
• Support the Sales TEAM by solving internal and customer issues to ensure goodwill. ($1,000
spending limit).
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize efficiency and drive sales results.
• Provide insight and ideas on innovative promotional programs and process improvements.
• Participate in the selection of and onboarding of new field sales TEAM members to set them
up for maximum success.
• Develop product and sales training materials. Provide one-on-one and group training and
collaborate to build courses for the Learning Management System (LMS) based on field
observations.
• Monitor and improve TEAM performance, regularly providing feedback to the TEAM and
reporting results to management.
• Showcase our brand by representing us at trade shows and other sanctioned functions.
• Collaborate with sales management TEAM to develop and adopt best practices to ensure
consistent brand representation and exceptional sales results
• Ensure proper use of company systems such as SalesForce, Syteline, and Ring Central.
• Provide training and feedback on the proper use of BDA Assigned Assets. Conduct
routine inspections of company vehicles and technology equipment.
• Support and demonstrate Blue Diamond Core Values: Integrity, Commitment,

• All other duties as assigned.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports to the Senior Director of Nation Sales or VP of Business Development and
provides daily supervision of Outside TEAM within assigned territory.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Four-year college degree preferred but may be waived based on related job experience.
• Seven (7) years of proven field sales experience leading a team.
• Prior experience in equipment or attachment industry preferred.
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Effectively communicate in English both oral and written form with employees, customers, and
management. Strong interpersonal communication skills with great phone presence.
COMPUTER AND OFFICE SKILLS
Proven experience with PC platforms and knowledge of office programs to include, but not limited
to, email, spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software. Experience with Salesforce or
another CRM required. Knowledge of company specific software related to job functions.
PERSONAL SKILLS
Interface with employees, customers, and management. Good time management skills, ability to
prioritize duties, ability to multi-task, and a concentrated attention level. Highly flexible, adaptable,
and resourceful. Keen sense of customer urgency is required as well as excellent customer support.
Regular and predictable attendance. Ability to get along with others.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee will regularly drive, travel by airplane, and other modes of transportation. The
employee will regularly talk; hear; grasp; push; stand; walk; reach with their hands/arms; stoop,

will frequently operate mechanical equipment; and move up and down from/to a sitting position to
the floor. Employee must be able to respond quickly to sounds and see and respond to hazardous
conditions. Employee will regularly travel to dealer sites and must be able to navigate in and
around their facilities. Visual activities include clarity of vision at twenty (20) feet or more, clarity of
vision at twenty (20) inches or less, and three-dimensional vision. Able to judge distance and space relationships. The employee will regularly lift up to five (5) pounds. Occasionally the employee will
lift up to ten (10) pounds. On rare occasions the employee will lift up to thirty (30) pounds.
WORK CONDITIONS
The employee will regularly operate a motor vehicle and visit dealership facilities where they may
be exposed to varying indoor and outdoor conditions, including inclement outdoor weather
conditions, indoor fumes or airborne particles, vibrations, extreme heat, and may be subject to oils.
The employee will be exposed to moderate noise. The employee will regularly travel overnight to
visit dealerships and often work from a home office setting.
