About the Job
This position would report to the COO of the company. You would be handling sales for their Northeast Territory. There is someone in the position now who you would be able to learn from while you learn the business and territory. Company vehicle and credit card provided for expenses.
THIS ROLE REQUIRES SOMEONE WHO IS SELF-SUFFICENT, CAN MANAGE THEIR OWN APPOINTMENTS AND TERRITORY.
General Description - Manages the following daily operations:
Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders
Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests
Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms
Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery date
Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support
Provide customers with product samples and catalogs
Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences
Prepare drawings, estimates, and bids that meet specific customer needs
Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales
Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, logging customer visit reports, and filing expense account reports
Compensation will consist of a base salary plus commission
Additional projects and responsibilities may be assigned by management as necessary
Work experience requirements: Minimum of 3 – 5 years Technical Sales experience, 50-70 % travel
Working knowledge of electrical circuits, electronic devices, motors, motor control, inverter drives, sensors, and cameras
Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Must have a driver's license with a clean driving record
SAP experience preferred
Computer literate (Windows, Microsoft, Lotus Notes)
Self-motivated, ability to work independently
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Oral and written communication skills
