Outside Sales Representative - Builders and Contractors / Lumber + Building Materials

Our client is a well-respected, privately-held lumberyard that has been serving the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro for over 70 years.  Due to their continued growth with their existing customers and new builders and contractors they need to add an experienced LBM sales professional to their team.

Does This Sound Like You?

• You’re wired to provide great customer service and pay attention to the details

• You enjoy sharing your knowledge and helping your customers succeed

• You’re very familiar with lumber, building products, and the residential construction process.

The Experience We’d Love To See:

• At least 3 years of sales of building materials to builders and contractors.

• The ability to read blueprints and do take-offs

• Past success selling lumber, and building materials.

• Past experience selling windows and doors would be a bonus

What You’ll Get To Do:

• You’ll be given a book of business worth over $1 Million to manage, with support from the previous account managers to ensure a smooth transition.

• You’ll be an expert in the products you sell and a resource for your customers

• You’ll work closely with builders and contractors to ensure they have all of the materials they need to ensure a successful project.

• You’ll serve your existing customers as well as develop new prospects to grow your book of business and your income.
