About the Job
We are currently working with an automation and vision systems manufacturer that is seeking an Outside Technical Sales Rep.
General Description:
Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.
Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery date.
Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, logging customer visit reports, and filing expense account reports.
Work experience requirements:
Minimum of 3 – 5 years Technical Sales experience.
Working knowledge of electrical circuits, electronic devices, motors, motor control, inverter drives, sensors, and cameras.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
SAP experience preferred and computer literate (Windows, Microsoft, Lotus Notes).
Self-motivated, ability to work independently.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering would be preferred.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S., without current or future requirements for sponsorship of an employment-based visa status.
This position involves about 75% travel from Virginia to Maine.
This position is remote.
Company car and credit card provided.
A compensation range of $105-130k is realistic (salary + commissions).
