Scope of the Position:
The job of Residential Assistant or Behavioral Health Technician is established for the purpose of providing support for the program. The Residential Assistant will help with coordinating client activities, supervising clients, and providing assistance with daily activities.
Principal Results Expected:
• Provide client transportation
• Supervise clients as directed by house managers
• Assist with coordinating and scheduling house activities
• Maintain a helpful attitude and positive Role Model for clients
• Hold personal client information confidential and not discuss with other clients in the home.
• Maintain correspondence with and provide updated reports to Program Director
• Assist House manager with tracking spending and staying on budget
• Handle petty cash and save receipts when needed
• Interact with clients; form healthy relationships to build trust
• De-escalate potentially tense situations between clients
• Speak positively about the company and other employees
• Assist clients in efforts to problem solve
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Profile:
1 year of experience in a human services system, preferably within a residential, mental health/substance abuse setting.
Experience:
High School graduate or GED with 1 years’ experience. Prefer an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field. Valid Driver’s License.
