The location is easily accessible from downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul, the Mall of America and airport, with additional uses for the planned development to include corporate offices, retail, restaurants and entertainment.
The 320-room luxury hotel features more than 35,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and pre-function space, including a 7,500-square-foot ballroom, a 4,410-square-foot event center and six two-story hospitality lounges for groups and meeting planners to utilize. Job Description:Responsible for ensuring the safety and tranquil stay of hotel guests and employees, to enforce the policies and procedures of the hotel and to record in writing any assigned task. Prepare incident and accident reports accurately and, in the format specified by the Director of Loss Prevention.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain professional attitude and appearance.
- To observe and report on all assignments.
- Keep accurate records and communicate using radio equipment.
- Supports new Omni Safe and Clean protocols throughout the property, including the administration of associate health screenings.
- Record and report any unsafe conditions while patrolling hotel property.
- To ensure protection and preservation of hotel, guest, and employee property.
- Reports all observed hotel property deficiencies and safety hazards to appropriate Department Manager, Executive Committee Member.
- Ensures thorough and complete investigation of all incidents incurred by guests and associates (i.e., losses, thefts, accidents). Complete within 48 hours.
- Maintains surveillance procedures throughout the property.
- Ensures that all phases of the key control program are maintained, and any discrepancies noted are investigated thoroughly and reported to the Director of Loss Prevention.
- Monitors all traffic in the lobby, restaurant, restrooms, parking area, bars, and back of the house area.
- Acts as the hotel representative when resolving guest problems and concerns by handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others. Ensures that all details of guest situations are documented and communicated to appropriate department personnel.
- Must maintain a comprehensive understanding of all emergency procedures and radio codes.
- Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Previous security experience preferred.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous Red Cross and First Aid Certification preferred.
- Must be able to have a flexible schedule to work overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift moderate to heavy weights.
- Able to bend, reach and lift 50 lbs. Must be able to stand and/or walk the entirety of the shift.
Working Environment:
- Interior and exterior of resort property, in all areas with exposure to extreme temperatures.
- Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
- Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.
