This 10-month, full-time position is for both a half-day Assistant Pre-K Counts teacher and a morning tuition-based preschool class. The opening is at the Growing Place Polk Center in Kresgeville, PA.
AA/AAS in ECE or related field or two years of credits earned towards a bachelor's degree and classroom management experience required. Job responsibilities include all aspects of early care and education, including meeting the physical needs of the children. Knowledge of NAEYC and Keystone STARS preferred.
Each class has a maximum of 18 children and may include both three- and four-year-olds.
Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
PA Pre-K Counts is a state-funded high-quality preschool program for children who may be at-risk for academic failure. The program is free for families who qualify through income.
The Growing Place was established in 1976 and has three centers in Monroe County, PA. We serve infants through school age, Monday through Friday, year-round. All three centers are nationally accredited and Keystone STAR Four rated.
