Job Summary:
The Packaging Operator is responsible for staging, filling, capping, labeling, and over-packing liquid, powder, and lyophilized products according to approved packaging specifications.&
This role involves completing appropriate packaging documentation following FDA, ISO, and GMP procedures and ensuring the timely delivery of products to inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
Fill, cap, and label chemical products.
Weigh materials using electronic balances.
Manually fill liquids or powders.
Set up and operate semi-automated equipment for liquid and powder fills.
Perform routine cleaning of semi-automated equipment.
Conduct fills in environmentally controlled areas, including hazardous products.
Transfer bulk solutions using pumps and filter materials with vacuum or in-line filters.
Manually torque caps and set up/operate semi-automated cappers.
Hand label and operate automated labelers as needed.
Assist with loading bottles and pack-off during fill line operations.
Pack kits according to established procedures.
Safely transport materials using material handling equipment.
Clean laboratory glassware and batch tanks.
Follow quality and safety protocols, including Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
Document equipment usage and verify calibration status.
Participate in safety activities, process improvement initiatives, and ISO 13485/9001 compliance.
Maintain housekeeping and audit readiness.
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 3 months of experience in chemical weighing, laboratory, filling, or packaging.
Experience in an ISO/GMP regulated environment is desirable.
