About the Job
Advanced Spine and Pain Centers is seeking a certified Physician Assistant for our Virginia/ Maryland offices.
Candidates with previous experience in pain management and/or orthopedics are highly desirable.
Physician Assistant Requirements: must have graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with current license to practice in the State of Virginia/ Maryland.

The Pain Management Physician Assistant duties include but not limited to:
*Conduct thorough physical examination of patients presenting with pain-related concerns;
*Reviewing patient's medical history:
*Administer and monitor medication management for pain relief, following established protocols and guidelines;
*Consulting with other providers before deciding on a therapy or treatment program to help patients manage their pain;
*Using knowledge and pain management skills to find effective non-invasive treatment options;
*Performing joint injections;
* Provide patient education on pain management techniques, lifestyle modifications and self-care strategies;
*Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients;
*Stay updated with the latest advancements and research in the field of pain management through continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications:
* Active VA and/or MD license;
*Previous experience in the field of pain management is preferred;
*Excellent clinical skills, including physical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
*Ability to work independently and take initiative, demonstrating a high level of autonomy in decision-making.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
*Dedication to providing compassionate and patient-centered care, with a focus on improving the quality of life for individuals living with chronic pain.
*Commitment to maintaining professional ethics, confidentiality, and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
