Cooley Contracting LLC is looking for experienced Painters to join our custom home building team. We specialize in building high-quality, custom homes throughout the Grand Traverse, Benzie, and Leelanau counties. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of painting experience, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent craftsmanship. • Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, patching, and priming.
• Apply primer, paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes to walls, ceilings, and custom home features with precision and attention to detail. Cutting in, rolling, spraying, staining, etc..
• Paint spraying interior and exterior of homes.
• Setting up ladders, lifts, and scaffolds to work safely at heights.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety guidelines are followed.
• Collaborate with the construction team to meet project timelines and ensure high-quality finishes.
• Perform touch-ups, paint matches, and repairs as needed.

• Minimum of 5+ years of painting experience (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Must be motivated, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Willingness to commute daily to Frankfort, MI and/or Glen Arbor, MI.
