Construction Defect Litigation Paralegal
Multi-practice law firm in Boca Raton Is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Defect Litigation Paralegal to join their dynamic team.
With a dedicated team of legal professionals, the firm strives to provide exceptional legal services to their clients by navigating complex construction defect cases.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive research on construction defect cases, including relevant laws, regulations, and precedents.
Assist attorneys in case preparation, including drafting legal documents, pleadings, and discovery requests/responses.
Organize and manage case files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and maintained.
Coordinate communication with clients, opposing counsel, and experts involved in construction defect litigation.
Prepare for and participate in meetings, depositions, hearings, and trials as required.
Assist in the review and analysis of construction plans, specifications, contracts, and other relevant documents.
Utilize case management software and other technology tools to efficiently manage case-related tasks and deadlines.
Collaborate with attorneys and other team members to develop case strategies and ensure effective case management.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Paralegal certification preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in construction defect litigation or a related field.
Strong understanding of legal concepts and procedures related to civil litigation.
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in using legal research databases and case management software.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
