Position Summary:

Highly regarded consulting firm seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal specializing in litigation to join their team. The ideal candidate will support our legal team in managing and executing collection strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of working in a fast-paced environment. FRP and Florida Notary a plus!

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of collection-related legal documents, such as demand letters, summons, and complaints.
• Conduct thorough research and gather necessary documentation to support collection efforts.
• Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
• Communicate effectively with clients, debtors, and third-party agencies to facilitate payment resolutions.
• Monitor and track the status of collection cases, providing timely updates to attorneys and clients.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local collection laws and regulations.
• Support the legal team in court proceedings and hearings as required.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Certified Paralegal (CP) designation is an advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a paralegal or legal assistant role, preferably in collections or a related legal field.
• Strong understanding of collection laws and legal procedures.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
