Talis Group’s client, a well-established and reputable Personal Injury firm that handles large complex cases as well as smaller injury cases. The Partners are well respected nationally for their experience in large class action suits. The firm is looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to contribute to their growing success. This firm is concerned about work-life balance and typically doesn’t require overtime. Culture is very team structured. This position will offer a base salary of $55,000-$65,000 and an annual bonus opportunity. Benefits include: 100% company-paid health, life and disability; vision and dental can be purchased, and company has FSA and 401k match with very generous PTO and 10 holidays.
This position will work on personal injury litigation cases, from the initiation of a case to the discovery period through trial and post-trial findings and appeals. This position is full time.
Highlighted Duties:
- Interview clients, family members and witnesses;
- Research on Lexis Advanced and KY Secretary of State;
- Summarize medical records and depositions
- Draft Notices, Motions and Orders;
- Draft discovery responses and requests;
- Organize documents and coordinate document production;
- File all pleadings electronically in Federal and State Court;
- Prepare and attend trial including but not limited to organizing exhibits, files and all other supporting documents along with trial set-up and logistics;
- Assist attorneys in the courtroom by taking notes, handling exhibits, marking documents referred to by counsel and preparing witnesses.
Highlighted Requirements:
- Paralegal Degree or certification preferred.
- Prior personal injury litigation experience required.
- Must have trial experience.
- State and Federal E-Filing.
- Professional references, assessments, drug screen, and criminal background check required.
