Location: Rhodium Shared Services (Remote)
Schedule: Full Time
Employment Status: Exempt, Salaried
Travel: Light travel as business needs may require but generally anticipated to be no more than one to three times per quarter.
Work Schedule: 8am to 5pm CT Monday through Friday, occasional work on evenings and weekends may be required due to business needs.
Job Summary:
The Paralegal is a key member of the legal department at Rhodium by providing support in the day-to-day functions of the department. In this role, you will support the department’s mission by drafting and organizing documents, docketing important deadlines, assisting with insurance-related matters, assisting with compliance-related audits and filings, litigation support, and collaborating with outside counsel. You thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and love taking on a new challenge. You support the business by thinking outside of the box while always protecting Rhodium. You will work alongside our Senior Paralegal and will also provide other legal services under the supervision of our Assistant General Counsel.

Responsibilities:
- Drafting correspondence, preparing analyses, and preparing other legal documents.
- Collaboration within the legal department, across business divisions and with outside counsel.
- Maintaining insurance records, filing insurance claims, and collaborating with insurance brokers
- Assistance with corporate entity formation and maintenance.
- Project management, assistance with docketing of significant litigation, transactional, regulatory compliance and contractual deadlines.
- Managing active legal disputes and investigations, including litigation holds, discovery, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Assistance with management of active transactions, including due diligence, data room management, and closing checklists.
- Managing approval process for key documents using a document management system.
- Assistance with HR and employment policies and procedures.
- Managing invoices and payments to outside counsel, insurance carriers, etc.
- Maintaining the legal budget in partnership with our Assistant General Counsel.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working as a paralegal in a corporate setting with a background in project management, corporate governance, and litigation.
- Minimum five years’ experience working as a paralegal.
- Ability to work and collaborate effectively and seamlessly during normal business hours on a remote basis Assistance with regulatory compliance, regulatory filings, compliance audits, internal controls, compliance training and reporting obligations.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to attend periodic in-person meetings and/or special projects.
- A team player who is willing to pitch in as needed to support this early-stage company, including by performing administrative and clerical tasks as may be needed from time to time.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook required.
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Physical Demands:
The Paralegal must be able to speak, hear, see, read, write, type, dial, reach, and bend. Sedentary work: standing, walking and sitting for prolonged periods of time – repetitive motion of hands, fingers and wrists.
