Job Details
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a timekeeper position (recording billable time within guidelines)
- Insurance Defense background MUST
- Strong computer skills in: MS Office, Word, Adobe Acrobat or another pdf program.
- Knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, specifically with Florida Medical Malpractice statutes and process
- Must have the ability to draft correspondence & pleadings, as well as draft discovery and responses
- Speak with clients & review medical records as well as prepare medical chronologies
- Prepare non-party record subpoenas (making sure they are in accordance with state & federal regulations)
- E-file in state and federal courts
- Locate and work with expert witnesses
- Prepare cases for witness interviews, depositions, mediations and trial.
