Paralegal
Job Overview: The Paralegal will be responsible for preparing, managing, and maintaining a variety of legal documents, including physician and non-physician agreements, corporate documents, forms, government filings, and legal memoranda. This role requires strong organizational skills, legal research capabilities, and the ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients. The Specialist will assist in drafting and updating contract templates, enhancing record maintenance, and supporting the Legal Team and organizational initiatives. In office M-F
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Preparation:
- Prepare various legal documents (at the paralegal skill level) using approved templates and standard provisions.
- Draft, review, and update physician and non-physician agreements.
- Prepare corporate documents, forms, government filings, and legal memoranda.
- File Management:
- Maintain legal files in an electronic filing system.
- Ensure proper indexing and filing of legal documents as instructed.
- Research and Response Preparation:
- Conduct legal research and analysis of applicable laws using electronic databases and research tools.
- Prepare responses for General Counsel (GC) review regarding subpoena requests and health plan quality or compliance requests.
- Communication:
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with Legal Team members and clients.
- Use good judgment in interactions with clients, knowing when to escalate issues or concerns to the supervising attorney.
- Administrative Support:
- Complete and assist with forms and government filings using sensitive and confidential information.
- Assist with drafting and updating contract templates.
- Support Legal Team initiatives and organizational goals.
- Project Management:
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet ongoing deadlines.
- Assist with database cleanup and maintenance.
