- Job Summary
- The Paramedic acts as the primary director of care in emergency and non-emergency situations by providing efficient and immediate care for patients. Responsible for examining, evaluating and providing quick diagnoses in order to administer immediate and proper medical care. Responsible for providing basic medical support including CPR, AED, ventilation, controlling hemorrhaging, etc. The Paramedic also performs more invasive techniques to stabilize the patient’s condition. The Paramedic is responsible for documenting all aspects of care provided under their direction by EMS services. Operates the ambulance in various road conditions to safely transport patients to medical facilities.

- Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience
- Preferred: Previous EMT experience
- Skills
- Must be 18 years of age
- Calmly and efficiently perform and make appropriate decisions rapidly under stress in emergency situations.
- Ability to work outdoors.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Is familiar with age specific needs for the patient population served.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Required: Current Missouri licensure as E.M.T.- P AND For-hire driver’s license (Class E) or greater (CDL) for operation of an ambulance in the state of residenceRequired: BLS due within 90 days of hireRequired: ACLS due within 1 year of hireRequired: PALS due within 1 year of hire
