• Work Status: Full-time | 36 Hours per Week
• Shift Details: Three 12-Hour Shifts | Every Third Weekend | Two Holidays per Year

Job Summary
Responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to all patients as directed by medical staff and in compliance with hospital policies
Plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the work and efforts of all personnel assigned to their area
Relates and communicates effectively with other shifts for continuity of care
Maintains satisfactory relationships and positive communication with other departments
Participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records and upgrading policy, procedures and skills.
Delivering patient care that is goal-focused, age-specific, and culturally sensitive
Treat every patient with respect and dignity, regardless of their background, and to collaborate with nursing personnel to ensure high-quality care
Accountability is key, both individually and as a team member, in meeting the needs of patients and their families
Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations, and being prepared for emergencies by understanding and practicing roles in code situations
Demonstrates resourcefulness and composure in an emergency, using all available resources competently
Prepares patient for next level of care (admission, transfer, and/or dismissal).
Continuous learning and professional development are encouraged through participation in department meetings, in-services, and seminars
Effective communication and collaboration within the healthcare team are essential to meet patient and team goals
Promotes good public and intra-hospital relations and ensures a thorough continuum of care
Knowledge of universal precautions and infection control policies, orient new employees, and maintain regular attendance at work.
Qualifications
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN) and/or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Must have an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nebraska or must have an active, current Paramedic license in the State of Nebraska.
• Must possess an active Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.
