Adecco Healthcare is seeking a Paramedic, EMT-P, EMT-I, or AEMT to join our client's plasma center as a Medical Support Specialist in Milwaukee, WI - 53225.

Pay
$29 an hour
Sign-On Bonus
$3,000
Shift
- 30-40 hours a week
- 4x10s, 5x8s, 4x8s, or 4x9s (no less than 4 days week)
- Every 2nd or 3rd weekend
Center Hours (Shifts will vary)
Monday: 11am-7pm
Tuesday: 6am-7pm
Wednesday: 6am-7pm
Thursday: 6am-7pm
Friday: 6am-6pm
Saturday: 9am-5pm
Sunday: 7am-3pm
Qualifications
Required:
- Paramedic, EMT-P, EMT-I, or AEMT License.
- BLS certification.
Preferred:
- Plasma knowledge.
- Venipuncture skills.

Responsibilities
- You will assess donor eligibility, which includes managing informed consent, providing AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, conducting medical history interviews and acceptance checks, performing physical examinations, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) results.
- You will assess donor reactions occurring at the facility as specified in the SOPs. Follow the relevant SOPs for medical emergencies, including the implementation of the Center Physician's standing orders and arranging donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Team up with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
- Champion vaccination Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
- Master the art of incident management. You will evaluate donor reactions at the facility in accordance with the SOPs. Adhere to the SOPs for medical emergencies, which includes executing the Center Physician's standing orders and organizing donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Potentially become a Pandemic Coordinator (because every team needs a Captain America) when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.
