Paraprofessional - Excelsior Village Academies, Inc.

Excelsior Village Academies, Inc. is currently seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team. As a Paraprofessional, you will work closely with teachers and other school staff to provide instructional and behavioral support to students. This role is crucial in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in implementing instructional activities and lessons based on individual student needs.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support for students to reinforce learning objectives and promote academic progress.
• Support students with special needs in accessing the general education curriculum and participate in the classroom environment.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement behavior management strategies.
• Assist with monitoring student behavior and maintaining a positive and structured learning environment.
• Communicate and collaborate with parents, teachers, and other school staff to support student success.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience working with children in an educational or caregiving setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support student learning and well-being
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
