About the Job
PathPoint is excited to welcome a full-time Parent Partner to join our Kids & Family Together division in Ventura, CA. A Parent Partner is somebody who, in the past, has successfully reunited with their children after involvement in the child welfare system. A Parent Partner supports families who are currently involved with child welfare by providing support, education, mentorship, and healing. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. We are looking for someone who is caring and kind, has good communication skills, and can navigate computer software well.
A recommendation letter from your social worker is required and can be attached to your application.

We serve communities across Kern, Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, with your choice of an 8-hour shift that falls between 8:30 and 7:30.
Compensation: Starting pay is $21.00 per hour, and the pay range for this position is $21.00 to $23.00 per hour. The pay range is subject to change based on various factors.

What You'll Do:
- You will support families navigate the child welfare system through your lived experience
- You will work with Ventura County children and caregivers who may be overwhelmed or in crisis.
- You will consistently meet deadlines and schedules.
- You are organized and detail-oriented and can maintain up-to-date case notes and documentation.
- You may have a flexible work schedule based on caregiver availability, caseload, and the organization's needs.
- You have strong computer skills and can use Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel), web-based timekeeping systems, and databases.
- You have reliable transportation, allowing you to drive throughout the county (from Ventura to Simi Valley to Piru) to serve clients in-home.
- You embrace an attachment and trauma-informed approach and appreciate and respect cultural and other kinds of diversity.
- You are passionate about advocating for parents involved with child welfare and can provide feedback and insight to spark change in the system.
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent at minimum.
- Applicant must have successfully completed their case plan with CFS and have had their case dismissed.
- Applicant must provide a letter of recommendation from the COUNTY social worker and social worker supervisor (at the time of CFS case dismissal) stating the successful case dismal of CFS services.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good written and oral communication.
- Must have a valid California driver's license, up-to-date insurance, and registration.
