The City of Littleton Police Department has an opening for a Parking Enforcement Officer to enforce parking regulations in the downtown area of Littleton. The Parking Enforcement Officer issues citations to drivers or vehicles that are found to have violated parking regulations. This position requires heavy public contact on the streets and within the Department and assists other department personnel with a variety of police-related administrative tasks as required.
The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with the public, has the ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor, and is able to appropriately deescalate tense or hostile encounters. The ideal candidate is organized, has strong communication skills, and detailed report writing skills.

Hiring pay range $24.66 - $27.26 per hour
This full-time position is non-exempt per FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation.
Work Schedule: 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Must be available to participate in an on-call rotation for nights and weekends.

The expected duration of the hiring process is 6 to 12 weeks. Applicants who enter the process but are not selected for employment are not eligible to re-apply for the same position with the City of Littleton for one year.
