About the Job
Phoenix Lidar Systems, a growing UAV and LiDAR remote sensing hardware and software development company based Austin, TX is looking to add an experienced drone Pilot to our team. This position will work closely with management, production, and sales teams on a day-to-day basis. This position will be responsible not just for UAS/V piloting and safety, but will also support the development and implementation of new cutting edge remote sensing technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Safely fly in accordance with FAA Part 107 regulations
- Support LiDAR and camera unit calibrations by planning, flying, and operating calibration flights
- Develop, plan, and deliver professional UAS/V pilot training curriculum
- Plan and execute remote sensing data collection flights based on client requirements and system configurations
- Support the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures in accordance with industry best practices and FAA regulations
- Be willing and able to travel regularly to client sites both domestically and internationally

Requirements
- Experience with LiDAR data collection
- Current 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
- Drivers License and clean driving record
- 2-4 years of professional UAS/V piloting experience; 0-2 years of professional experience with a related four year degree
- Travel required 50-65%

Requirements Proven track record in sales or business development, preferably in geospatial technology, LiDAR, drones, surveying, or a related field Existing relationships within the land surveying or drone/aircraft industries are highly preferred Strong knowledge of the sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, including building relationships with decision-makers Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage with C-level executives Experience in working across international markets and adapting to cultural nuances Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus depending on the region Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while meeting targets Willingness to travel (~30%) within the assigned region
