About the Job
Amerlux, a pioneer in the lighting industry for over 35 years, is seeking a AP Data Entry Clerk to join our finance team . This position works full time in our Oakland, NJ office.
This position supports the Accounting Department in an administrative capacity and is responsible for processing Accounts Payables.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- On a daily basis, review all incoming mail.
- Match invoices with packing slips and apply G/L Account codes to non-purchase order invoices.
- Calculate freight percentage on all freight bills.
- Enter all invoices into the system and match invoices to those in the system to a purchase order.
- Enter all employee travel/expense, auto allowance, and rents into the system.
- Prepare check register and wire transfers on the 15th and 30th of each month.
- Pull all invoices and match to appropriate check or wire.
- Process and enter commission vouchers.
- Process wires in Citibank for approval and generate memo to customer stating what invoices were paid on the wire.
- Resolve non-matched invoice issues with purchasing department, so to keep the “On Hold” report to a minimum.
- Enter all price discrepancies on the shared drive and check to see if completed before invoices are paid.
- Print purchase orders for invoices with a price discrepancy.
- Conduct monthly close.
- Additional responsibilities as deemed appropriate by management.
Skills & Experiences:
- 1+ years in an office environment.
- Experience in a accounts payables preferred, but willing to train.
- Competence in MS Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
